Practical Engineering Solutions Resulting from Extensive Real-World Experience
Richard Giannotti, PE, IntPE, is our firm's Principal and Chief Engineer.
Rich is a Licensed Professional Engineer specializing in component strength, service life, and failure assessments. He is a former lead structures engineer with the Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Programs group (Skunk Works®). His experience includes all phases of structural design support, certification, service life analysis, and full-scale testing. Rich has held lead stress engineering positions on several military aircraft development programs, including the F-22 and F-35 Fifth-Generation fighter aircraft.
Additionally, while in the Lockheed Aeronautics Engineering Core Group, Rich developed stress analysis methods and manuals, and created and instructed peer-reviewed stress analysis courses, which were delivered to all LM Aeronautics sites.
Prior to Lockheed Aeronautics, Rich held in stress engineering positions with Grumman Aerospace and Sikorsky Aircraft companies.
Rich maintains P.E. licensure Georgia, is an NCEES Model Law Engineer (MLE) and member of the International Registry for Professional Engineers (IntPE). He maintains active membership in the NSPE, NAFE, ASME and ASM International technical societies.
